I bought my Samsung television at the Myer centre about five to six years ago
and one evening it decided to go crazy on me. When I turn it on the audio or sound would increase till it reached maximum and the sound bar would continue to be there as if someone is pressing down on the "+" button.

I tried turning it off and on,
I tried removing the batteries in the remote control whilst turing it off and on,
I tried pressing down "-" to decrease the sound on the remote control / on the TV itself.
Non of these worked.

I had no choice but to try get this fixed.

When you go on the Samsung website the only service centre are in Melbourne and Sydney.
I cannot shipping to any of these places and certainly can't fly out just for a TV.
I emailed Samsung.

Here is the email and reply.

Your question
Hello
My television''''s audio is broken.
When I turn on the TV, the audio goes to MAXIMUM by itself.
I have tried taking the batteries out of the remote control to see if it is the remote control problem, but it still has the same problem. Thus it is definitely the TV problem.

I think something my be pressing the audio button inside the TV or something has broken.... Do you know where I can get this fixed in Brisbane ?
Or is there a way to reboot the TV and try to see if that works.

Thank you

- From the Menu, select Setup.
- Press the Enter button and select Plug & Play.
- There will be a prompt for the PIN. The generic pin is 0000.

(I removed the service number in the email)

I emailed them 3am in the morning and
the Samsung service team got back to me around 10am the same day.
I think the email they sent was very helpful, thus their service is very good.

There is a service centre near Brisbane City!

Customer Service Plaza QLD
167 Robertson Road
Fortitude Valley QLD 4006
07 3872 7400

I tried the steps they provided and it worked.
So I did not have to go through the service centre.
My TV is 5-6 years old so I'm sure it's not covered by warranty.

If this is you, I suggest you call them first and ask about quotes
before you go through them and get it fixed.
If it ends up being very expensive, it may be better to purchase a new one.

Hopefully this was helpful to you all ~

Thanks for reading everybody~
